Ada County GOP vs. Idaho Majority Club

Who’s actually working for Republicans; and who’s just working their mouths?

Hey Party People,

Hold onto your hats. We have a great little nugget of info we think you might appreciate. Today's edition takes us to the Ada County Central Committee (ACRCC). Buckle up, it's gonna be a wild ride.

🔥 The Great Resignation of 2023

In October 2023, nearly every major officer of the Ada County Central Committee (ACRCC) resigned. All at once. Why?

Because Dorothy Moon’s Idaho GOP machine had been harassing them for more and more $$. The Ada County Chair, at the time Victor Miller, knew then what everyone knows now; Dorothy wasn't in this to help Republicans get elected. She just wanted a free ride. (Read their open letter here)

Subsequently, Dororthy's sham "investigation” included an audit headed by none other than convicted thief and disgraced former Ada County Treasurer Vicki McIntyre.

The message was clear: Play Dorothy’s game of loyalty oaths and kangaroo courts; or get purged.

Instead, they chose Door #3: they walked out.

And in doing so, they exposed the truth: it wasn’t a purge. It was a mass resignation in protest. Let’s be clear: Ada County Republicans didn’t “clean house,” the house burned down.

Man We Miss Those Guys!

Corruption begets Corruption.

Let’s talk about the audit, or rather, the farce masquerading as one. Dorothy, from her perch as state chair, didn’t hire a neutral professional. No, she handed the job to Vicki McIntyre, a woman once charged with seven felonies for misusing public funds. Read the KTVB article here.

This woman charged museums, restaurants, hockey games, Ferris wheel rides, Walmart, taxis, you name it, to taxpayers.

So naturally, she was Dorothy’s pick to audit the local GOP. What could go wrong?

🥤 Red Solo Cups & Other “Crimes”

One of the more hilarious highlights of the “audit” was an itemized note about... Red Solo cups.

That’s right. The cups were reportedly unaccounted for, in a county party with no office, no closet, and no storage unit. Someone expected every Red Solo cup to be cataloged and preserved like it's a museum artifact.

Meanwhile, they started smearing people like Victor Miller, a nationally recognized trading analyst and former Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns. Someone who is likely, not looking for red Solo cups to sell on the black market in downtown Eagle. Yet we’re supposed to believe this guy, undoubtedly successful and wealthy, was out here boosting Solo cups?

Sure... but you have to admit that it's laughable and embarrasing how people like Dorothy and crew claim the "conservative" moniker is theirs and theirs alone. Real Republicans repudiate top-down solutions from big brother, believe in self governance, local control, accountabilty and actual transparency. This wasn't that, not even close. It is stunning how mismanaged the State Party finances are, yet we have the spanish inquistion over solo cups, BY A CONVICTED THIEF. Graspsing at straws much?

📺 Butterworth’s Bannon Brag

Enter Sad-Thad Butterworth, who only became chair because literally everyone else quit. He wasted no time. A few weeks in, while at some conferece, Sad-Thad waited in line for his 4 seconds of fame on Steve Bannon’s show, bragging that the committee had “flipped the largest and most liberal committe in the state.

Let’s be real: Thad didn’t flip anything. Nice try Sad-Thad.

He walked into a burned-out building, picked up the smoldering nameplate, and declared himself King of the Ashes. Nothing new or impressive to see, here.

That’s like tripping over a mop in a broom closet and calling yourself CEO of Janitorial Services. Want to hear the delusion for yourself? Here’s the clip.

💸 The Receipts: Fundraising Breakdown

Let’s follow the money. Ten years of Ada GOP fundraising:

🔍 Notice something?

When Victor Miller became Chair of Ada County in 2020, the numbers exploded; from the value of a used Kia to over $200K.

Miller and his team turned the Ada GOP into a real political machine.

And when Dorothy and Thad made the job untenable? Fundraising collapsed.

But at least Thad finally got the "win” he couldn't secure at the ballot box; after losing twice in 2022. We guess the third time is the charm, right?

📊 The Actual Data

Of course, just like every other time we send out an email. We expect that there will always be some Dorothy Moon chaos loyalists that refuse to care about the facts or the health of the party, responding with "lies all lies. Why are you such liars?"

It's always perplexing for us when we see this, because it's data that can be independently verified with a simple analysis, Google search, or quick peruse of the Secretary of State finance portal. But again, they're not interested in actually having a conversation about factual information. It's either "you're with us, or you're against us 100%" identity, tribal politics. Not quite the unity Dorothy always promises, infact it's never been worse.

Let's take a look at the finance data filed by the Ada county party with the Idaho Secretary of State.

What Happened to Victor Miller and the Other Officers?

Victor and his friends went on to create their own Kick Ass PAC to do what the Idaho Republican Party was failing to accomplish, raising money & funding independent expenditures to help Republicans get elected- not pay "The Dorothy Moon can't raise money tax!" Cue the birth of the Idaho Majority Club.

🆚 The Comparison Game: Ada GOP vs. Idaho Majority Club

Let’s compare 2024 and 2025 (YTD) fundraising between the Ada County GOP and the relatively new Idaho Majority Club:

❌ No Strategy. No Candidates. No Shame.

In 2024, Ada GOP Officer and consensus loudmouth town clown Ryan Spoon bragged on X about a “good fundraising year", although State Party Treasurer Steve Bender has been overheard telling people; "We can't raise any money because of Ryan Spoon." No kidding Steve, but we haven't seen you do anything about it.

Really Ryan? Let’s look at District 15.

There was a legislative race between stellar Republican candidate Annette Tipton and long time Democrat incumbent Steve Berch. This was a winnable race. But Ada GOP did nothing to support Annette and Democrat Steve Berch won by just 227 votes.

Republican Annette Tipton raised and spent only $63k. Berch? Nearly $225k, plus $31k from an outside PAC.

Could a little ACRCC support have flipped the seat? We think yes, but help from you and your "getting a lot of stuff done" committee? Nope. Nada, Zilch.

Instead, the ACRCC paid their Dorothy Travel Fund state party dues. Don't forget, the ACRCC was also busy partying and spending donor money at the Old State Saloon in Eagle. (They Spent $2,968 there in December 2024.) Meanwhile, Annette was left alone to walk through 4 pairs of shoes going door to door in her district. Thanks for nothing.

💸 So What Else Did ACRCC Spend Money On?

  • $36,701 to Idaho GOP (no candidate support noted)

  • $7,092 to the Coeur d'Alene Resort (So Dorothy Travel Fund-esque)

  • $3,379 to Amazon, why would we ever want that to be itemized?

  • $6,236 to a printer; probably for anti-Prop 1 signs.

Missing?

Any sign of support for actual Republican candidates.

Although it seems that the Ada County Republican Party did spend money to oppose proposition 1 and rightfully so, there was no filing of an independent expenditure with the Secretary of State throughout the entire year of 2024. (Where is Vicki McIntyre with her Investigator Gadget magnifying glass now?) Did we hear anything from Dorothy about this? Did we conduct an audit or form an investigative witch hunt committee? No, why would Dorothy ever question her friends, no matter what they do?

Meanwhile, Idaho Majority Club backed 29 candidates with over $31,000 in independent expenditures.

The Ada GOP?
Nada, 0, Zilch.

Again: Ada County is the richest, reddest, most donor-dense county in the state; and they’re getting crushed by a new startup PAC.

Why?

Because maybe, just maybe, their priorities seem to be investigations, audits, purges, bragging on podcasts, but definitely not working to help Republicans win.

What Else is Distracting the ACRCC? Party Watch is. Sorry, not sorry.

Several months ago, Sad-Thad strolled into an ACRCC meeting with what he says was "proof" of who is behind Party Watch. Spoiler alert, he was wrong. Imagine our surprise to learn, during the August 25, 2025 ACRCC meeting, Matt Jensen (AKA Orange Jacket Guy) waltzed up to the mic to announce he was "THIS CLOSE" to determining the identity of Party Watch.

And who exactly is Matthew Jensen; the man suddenly playing “investigator” for the Idaho GOP? He holds no official role in the party, yet he strutted into the Ada County committee as if deputized, claiming he was asked to unmask the authors of Party Watch.

A month later, after his dramatic announcement, he had nothing. Instead, he retreated to social media, spinning wild, even borderline homophobic speculation about who might be behind the emails. Just like “Sad-Thad Butterworth” before him, he overpromised, underdelivered, and proved the whole charade was a waste of everyone’s time.

But the bigger question is: why is this person being elevated?

Jensen’s own record is nothing short of disqualifying. In 2009, he and his then wife were charged with felony injury to a child (two counts) after authorities found their home in such appalling condition that the state removed their children permanently. That’s not rumor; that’s documented in court and press reports.

Today, at 40, Jensen lives on the internet as an orange-jacketed, loudmouth keyboard warrior more interested in smearing other Republicans than in actually defeating Democrats or advancing conservative ideas. If this is who Dorothy Moon and company think should be leading the next witch hunt, it says more about the broken state party than it does about anyone writing uncomfortable truths through Party Watch.

We don't claim to have all of the answers here. We just know that as we continue to dig, what we uncover should lead every Republican in the state to be horrified at their affiliation with those who running the IDGOP.

Until next time friends, (which sadly is too often)
