Guess Who’s Been Talking About Us? 👀

Hey Party Watchers,

First off, our bad for going quiet lately. The rumor mill’s been louder than our inbox, and while you haven’t seen many updates, don’t mistake silence for stillness. We’ve been busy behind the scenes; digging, documenting, and watching. Always watching. 👀

Apparently, we’ve made quite the impression. Word on the street is that at the last GOP Executive Committee meeting, there was a lot of chatter about Party Watch. To that we say; sorry, not sorry.

Now, here’s the part that’ll really make your coffee taste better this morning:

During that meeting, Bryan Smith gave what he apparently thought was a triumphant tale about Bonneville County. He recounted the events of May 2024, when the folks in Bonneville decided they actually wanted to elect their own Precinct Committeemen; you know, their neighbors, teachers, community leaders, PTA volunteers… real people.

Apparently that democratic exercise didn’t sit well with Bryan Smith et all, who had hoped to keep their hand-selected slate in power.

Bryan’s take? He described those newly elected neighborhood conservatives as “Radical, Socialist, LGBTQIA PCOs.” (yes, really).

Then came the kicker: he bragged that on the very night the Bonneville County Republican Central Committee (BCRCC) was set to transition to new leadership, he knew there was still over $50,000 sitting in the county account.

So, what did he do? In his own words; and I quote, he “gathered all the little chickens and convinced them to give all of that money to the IDGOP.”

That’s right. Before the duly elected local Republicans could take their seats, Bryan and friends swept the account clean. The people lost their funds, but hey, Bryan got to claim his “big win” for the establishment machine.

And in true Bryan fashion, he finished his little showboating moment by saying:

“When Party Watch reports on this, I want the $50K credit for my get or give.”

Well Bryan, here’s your credit. YOU DID IT. Congrats on perpetuating exactly the kind of insider politics Idaho Republicans are tired of. The people in Bonneville County deserved better, and they’re proving it.

Which brings us to some good news: our friends at the Bonneville County Republican Central Committee (BCRCC) are hosting a joint fundraiser on Saturday, November 8th. Let’s show up and support the folks who are actually doing the work; the ones who believe Republican values start with honesty, accountability, and local leadership chosen by the people.

Sign up, spread the word, and let’s make sure the right side of Idaho politics, the grassroots side, has our support.

Stay tuned, stay sharp, and as always… keep watching.

With a wink,
The Party Watch Team

"and so when it became obvious that the Gem State Heist had not only heisted Bonneville County, but they had done so with radicals, socialists, LGBTQIA PCO's, we were concerned about where that money was going to go."
